Mansar Lake Jammu

Mansar Lake is situated towards south of Jammu City. It is an old lake with tortoise, various fishes and other under water animals. JKTDC has developed nice garden around it with fountains, flowers etc. It again is quite famous picnic spot in Jammu.

Ranbireshwar Temple Jammu

Ranbireshwar temple is one of the beautiful temples that you should not miss during your Jammu tour. It is situated near the new Secretariat at Shalimar Road. It is considered as the biggest temple of North India. It has biggest Lingam around 8 ft. in black stone that was build by the Dogra rulers.

This temple was build by King Ranbir Singh. Part of holy trinity, this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Divided into two halls, this temple is decorated by the pictures of Kartikeya and Ganesha. Faithful Nandi’s idol is also found in this temple. Around 1.25 lakh bona Lingam are placed in the two halls of temple.

Amar Mahal Palace

The beautiful Amar Mahal Palace is located in Jammu. This attractive palace is made up of red sand stone. From the top, you can see Shivalik ranges and several other attractive sights situated near the palace. In ancient times, it was the Palace of Amar Singh.

This palace is now transformed into a museum. Golden throne is the major attraction of this palace. It’s weight is around 120kg and it is made up of pure gold and related with the figure of lion. Apart from this throne, this palace is famous for its rare painting.
