How to go to amarnath and badrinath from delhi..which is the best time to visit for pilgrimage?
- For amarnath,delhi-srinagar-baltal-amarnath is the shortest route. from baltal u can walk or take a helocopter. the temple opens for only 2 months in june-july
- For badrinath,delhi-haridwar-rishikesh( by train/road)-dev prayag-rudra prayag-joshimath-badrinath(by road only
Badrinath temple is closed in the winter and temple is transferred to joshimath. u can be!

Amarnath and badrinath is in different direction you can not go in single route to there.
Month of May is best time to go both of this place.
For badrinath Isbt delhi and bus to Rishikesh after that By Bus to Badrinath there is no direct conection.
and for Amarnath by train to Jammu Then By bus towards the amarnath.
If you have a personal vehical same route to go there.
Please see whether you would want to cover both the pilgrimage in one go.
They both are way way apart,though you would not have to walk to much in Badrinath(Buses and cabs goes till temple doors) but Amarnath is a different game all together with long distance to cover by road and a long long trek
I suggest you either go to Amarnath
Or opt for Hardwar,Rishikesh,Badrinath, Kedarnath,Yamnotri,Gangotri route which is all in Uttranchal. Good tourist buses are available from delhi and Hardwar who will take you to all the place in one go say 7-10 days tour
best time would be in summers May and june.
